[What bad timing. Rarity finally just came out of her self-imposed seclusion yesterday, only to be shoved into one of those gross-looking pods and replaced with a vindictive clone of herself. And pod!Rarity wastes no time at all in getting on the phones to screw with the rest of the town. Her voice is no less cheerful than usual, but it's just slightly haughtier than usual, like she's looking down on everyone else.]

Well, I'd say it's about time to get down to business again. Carousel Boutique is open for commissions! My schedule is completely clear, and it belongs to all of you! And not a moment too soon, if I do say so myself. After all, I've seen the dreadful excuse for fashion you've all been wearing around town recently. Honestly, I don't know how some of you can stand to look in the mirror in the morning, let alone set foot outside your house!

...Actually, I suppose I applaud your bravery in that regard; I could never even dream of being seen in public looking like that. But worry not, citizens of Mayfield! Your Rarity is here for you. I view it as my greatest challenge as a designer to make you all look presentable. You get stylish new clothing, and I don't have to cringe as I walk down the street anymore! See? Everypony wins. Isn't that generous of me?

[Stated very matter-of-factly as she marches down the hallway toward her sewing room. She stops halfway to check herself in the mirror before opening this door in much the same fashion as the last.]

Halt, impostor! Cease this at once, and kindly remove your filthy hooves from my equipment!

[The other Rarity just smiles deviously.]

Oh my. And what will you do if I don't? I was actually thinking of... re-tooling some of these tired old designs of yours.

[Pod!Rarity's horn glows, and a few swatches of fabric and a pair of scissors float into the air. The real Rarity gasps.]

You wouldn't!

Oh... wouldn't I?

I hate to interfere with a good showdown, but as I believe the clothing currently being worked on is my commission...

[From out of nowhere, Liepard gracefully leaps through the air and snatches the scissors away.]

[Rarity uses the momentary confusion to begin tying her evil clone up in a length of gold ribbon she'd been saving for a special occasion. She figures this sort of thing qualifies. In response, pod!Rarity uses her own magic to start flinging spools of thread, balls of yarn, and pincushions at the real Rarity, trying to disrupt her concentration. It's a full on Psychic type vs. Psychic type pony battle up in here.]

[Grimsley is a firm believer in letting people fight their own battles. He'll saunter over and lean back against a wall, keeping stock of the situation. He fingers one of his Pokeballs as he does so, however.]

Attagirl, Rarity. Don't hold on too long to your trump card.

[Whoops. Looks like she waited too long. While she was distracted bragging to Grimsley, the other Rarity floated a sheet over her head and dropped it. Now she's all tangled up in that while her evil twin extricates herself from the ribbons.]

[This could take a while. Grimsley sweatdrops a bit and reaches down to whip the sheet off with a flourish.]

[Rarity sputters a little, trying to regain her composure.]

Ahem! Ah... yes. A bit of assistance would not be entirely unwelcome.

Hm, hm. Well, since Liepard's already out... Why don't the two of you lovely ladies go ahead and cooperate?

[Grimsley will toss the sheet over his shoulder and as if performing a magic trick, Liepard will leap out from behind it. Without even needing to be prompted, the Pokemon somersaults straight into a Fake Out - landing inches away from the false Rarity with fangs bared and claws extended.]

[Pod!Rarity, not having expected an assault on two fronts, flinches for a moment. And a moment is all it takes. Rarity, thinking quickly, uses her magic to move the trunk she keeps her spare fabric in up behind the clone. Still caught off-guard, she loses her balance and falls in, at which point Rarity slams the top shut, locking the fake inside.]

There. That should do it.

[And Liepard didn't even have to scratch anything. The big cat examines its nails for a moment or two before entwining itself around Grimsley's legs; another flash of red light and it returns to its ball.]

And now, of course, the question is... what to do with an imposter pony?
